Below you will find instructions to setup routers we have tested to be able to host a VoiceIP session within PlanetSide. Please note that all information listed below is based on the router being set to its default factory settings before making these changes. If you have changed your user name and/or password, please make sure you use them rather then the defaults (which are listed in the instructions here).

Linksys® BEFSR81 Ver. 2 EtherFast® Cable/DSL Router with 8-Port Switch
Firmware Ver 2 2.44, Nov 22 2002
1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type in http://192.168.1.1
3. Leave the user name field blank
4. For the password, type admin
5. Click on the ADVANCED tab from the top area
6. Click on the FORWARDING Tab from the top area
7. Under Customized Applications, put PSVoice
8. Under Ext.Port, put 37000 under both boxes
9. Check the box under Protocol TCP
10. Under IP Address, put the IP Address the router has assigned to you
11. Check the ENABLE box.
12. Click apply
13. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type in http://192.168.0.1
3. Type admin as the user name
4. Type password as the password
5. Under SECURITY, click on ADD SERVICE
6. Click on ADD CUSTOM SERVICE
7. Under NAME, put PSVoice
8. Under TYPE, select TCP
9. Under START PORT, put 37000
10. Under FINISH PORT, put 37000
11. Click APPLY
12. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type http://192.168.0.1
3. Type in admin as the user name
4. Leave the password field blank
5. Click on the ADVANCED tab
6. Click the APPLICATIONS button
7. Under NAME, put PSVoice
8. Under TRIGGER PORT, put 37000 in the first box. Leave the second box blank
9. Under TRIGGER TYPE, make sure that TCP is selected
10. Under PUBLIC PORT, put 37000.
11. Under PUBLIC TYPE, make sure TCP is selected.
12. Click APPLY.
13. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type http://192.168.0.1
3. Type in admin as the user name
4. Leave the password field blank
5. Click on the ADVANCED tab
6. Click the VIRTUAL SERVER button from the left menu
7. Under SERVICE PORTS, put 37000
8. Under Server IP, put the IP that the router assigned to you
9. Check the ENABLE box.
10. Click APPLY.
11. Click RESTART
12. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

8. In the SERVICE PORTS box, put 37000
9. Under SERVICE IP, put the IP that the router has assigned to your computer
10. Under SCHEDULE, select ALWAYS
11. Click APPLY
12. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

7. In the EXTERNAL PORT fields, type 37000 in both fields.
8. Click the PROTOCOL TCP checkbox.
9. Put in the last digits of the IP that the router has assigned to you (i.e. 100, 101 or 102 depending on how many PC's you have on the router) into the IP ADDRESS FIELD.
10. Click the ENABLE checkbox.
11. Click APPLY
12. A new window will appear confirming changes. Click CONTINUE.
13. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session.

1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type in http://192.168.1.1
3. Leave the user name field blank
4. For the password, type admin
5. Click on the ADVANCED tab from the top area
6. Click on the FORWARDING tab
7. In the SERVICE PORT RANGE fields, type 37000 in both fields
8. Select BOTH under the PROTOCOL drop down menu
9. Put in the last digits of the IP that the router has assigned to you (i.e. 100, 101 or 102 depending on how many PC's you have on the router) into the IP ADDRESS FIELD
10. Click the ENABLE checkbox.
11. Click APPLY
12. A new window will appear confirming changes. Click CONTINUE
13. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type in http://192.168.0.1
3. Type admin in the user name field
4. For the password, leave it blank (both 3 and 4 assume that you haven't changed this from the default)
5. Click on the ADVANCED tab from the top area
6. Click on the VIRTUAL SERVER tab on the left
7. Click the ENABLE button at the top of the Name field
8. Type in a name for the server (i.e. Planeside Voice) into the Name field
9. Type in the IP address of your PC into the Private IP field. This should be 192.168.0.100 by default but refer to Network Connections section of control panel to verify.
10. Select TCP from the PROTOCOL drop down menu
11. Type 37000 into the PRIVATE and PUBLIC PORT fields 12. Select ALWAYS from the SCHEDULE menu
13. Click APPLY
14. A new window will appear confirming changes. Click CONTINUE
15. Click on the TOOLS tab from the top area
16. Click on the MISC tab on the left
17. Click the REBOOT button in the RESTART DEVICE section
18. Click OK on the confirmation window
19. New window will appear informing you that device is restarting. Click CONTINUE.
20. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session

Firmware 4.70 July 17, 2002
1. Open up your Internet Browser
2. Type in http://192.168.0.1
3. Type admin in the user name field
4. For the password, leave it blank (both 3 and 4 assume that you haven't changed this from the default)
5. Click on the ADVANCED SETTINGS tab from the top area
6. Click on the VIRTUAL SERVER tab on the left
7. Type in the IP address of your PC into the Internal IP field. This should be 192.168.0.100 by default but refer to Network Connections section of control panel to verify.
8. Type 37000 into both service range fields
9. Click Submit
10. A new window will appear confirming changes. Save and Restart
11. New window will appear informing you that device is restarting, and then you will be placed back at the main menu.
12. You should now be able to go into game and host a VoiceIP session
