The following personal routers/home firewalls have been tested with Planetside and are able to be used under their default configurations*.

If for some reason you experience a problem connecting to your Planetside server or the Launchpad, we suggest that you set your router back to its default settings.

Below you will find information as to how to reset your router to its default configuration, as found in each router's manual or their manufacturer's website. Also, if you are using another setup aside from DHCP or a static IP, such as PPPoE**, or if your ISP requires a login/pw, please take note of these settings before performing the steps below.

Netgear® FP114P 4-Port Cable/DSL ProSafe Firewall with Print Server:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.0.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
2. Type admin as the user name and password as the password (unless you've specified a different username and/or password, which you would then type that in)
3. Click on the Settings Backup link located below the Maintenance heading on the left hand side of your browser window)
4. Under "Revert to factory default settings", click the Erase button.  This will reset your router to it's 'out of the box' configuration
5. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.
6. If you have forgotten the user name and/or password that you changed to, then you can press the reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds, and then let it reboot itself.  It should be back to the default configuration at this point.

Netgear® FVS318 Cable/DSL ProSafe VPN Firewall:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.0.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
2. Type admin as the user name and password as the password (unless you've specified a different username and/or password, which you would then type that in)
3. Click on the Settings Backup link located below the Maintenance heading on the left hand side of your browser window)

D-Link® DI-704P Ethernet Broadband Router:
1. Power off the unit by unplugging the power adapter.
2. Press the reset button and hold it (using a paper clip will suffice), then plug the power adapter back into the router.
3. On the front of the router, you will see the M1 and M2 lights become solid.
4. When the M1 and M2 lights begin to blink slowly, release the reset button.
5. Your router will then automatically reboot itself.
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details

D-Link® DI-604 (revisions A/B/C) Express EtherNetworkTM 4-Port Ethernet Broadband Router
1. Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power.
2. Press the reset button and hold it (using a paper clip will suffice)
3. Keep the button pressed about 10 seconds
4. Release the button
5. Your router will then automatically reboot itself.
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details

D-Link® DI-614+ Enhanced 2.4GHz Wireless Router with built-in 4-Port Switch and advanced Firewall & Parental Control
1. Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power
2. Press the reset button and hold it (using a paper clip will suffice)
3. Keep the button pressed for about 10 seconds
4. Release the button
5. Your router will then automatically reboot itself.
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details

D-Link® DI-714P+ Enhanced 2.4GHz Wireless Router with built-in 4-Port Switch and Print Server
1. Power off the unit by unplugging the power adapter.

1. Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power
2. Press the reset button and hold it (using a paper clip will suffice)
3. Keep the button pressed for about 10 seconds
4. Release the button
5. Your router will then automatically reboot itself (this may take a few minutes)
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details

D-Link® 804V Broadband VPN Router
1. Leave the device powered on, do not disconnect the power
2. Press the reset button and hold it (using a paper clip will suffice)
3. Keep the button pressed for about 10 seconds
4. Release the button
5. Your router will then automatically reboot itself (this may take a few minutes)
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details

SpeedStream® SS2602 2-Port DSL/Cable Router:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.254.254 (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window).
2. Type admin as the password in the login window (or if you have changed the password, in which case you would type that password in)
3. Click on the Tools link in the left hand menu
4. Click on the Restore Factory Defaults link in the center pane.
5. Click the Restore button that comes up.
6. A warning box comes up letting you know that all your settings will be reset.  Click Yes.
7. Another prompt box comes up reminding you to not unplug your router during this reset phase.
8. The router has now been set to its default factory configuration.
9. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point.
10. If you have forgotten the user name and/or password that you changed to, then you can press the reset button on the back of the router for 5 seconds, and then let it reboot itself.  It should be back to the default configuration at this point.

SpeedStream® SS2614 4-Port DSL/Cable Router with Built-In Print Server:
1.  Open a browser window and type 192.168.254.254 (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window).
2. Type admin as the password in the login window (or if you have changed the password, in which case you would type that password in)
3. Click on the Tools link in the left hand menu
4. Click on the Restore Factory Defaults link in the center pane.
5. Click the Restore button that comes up.
6. A warning box comes up letting you know that all your settings will be reset.  Click Yes.
7. Another prompt box comes up reminding you to not unplug your router during this reset phase.
8. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.
9. If you have forgotten the user name and/or password that you changed to, then you can press the reset button on the back of the router for 5 seconds, and then let it reboot itself.  It should be back to the default configuration at this point.

SMC® SMC7004VBR Cable/DSL Router w/Built-In 10/100 Switch w/Adv Firewall Protection:
1. Power down the router for about 30 seconds and then turn it back on.
2. Depress the Reset button for about 5 seconds and release it (it is located on the rear of the router next to the power input plug)
3. The power light will flash rapidly, and all 8 port lights will turn on shortly.
4. The router should now be back to its factory default state.
5. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.

SMC® SMC7008ABR Cable/DSL Broadband Router w/Built-In 8-Port 10/100 Switch:
1. Power down the router for about 30 seconds and then turn it back on.

2. Log into the router with a blank username and the password admin - if you have changed the router's default administrator login, substitute it instead.
3. Click on the tab labeled Password.
4. Select the Yes radio button for the option to Restore Factory Defaults.
5. Click Apply at the bottom. This should bring up a confirmation window.
6. Click Yes on the window. This should bring up a success screen.
7. Click Continue on the success screen.
8. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.

LinkSys BEFSR41 ver. 2 EtherFast® Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.1.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)

3. Click on the tab labeled Password.
4. Select the Yes radio button for the option to Restore Factory Defaults.

GigaFast EE400-R Cable/DSL/Ethernet 4-Port Internet Router:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.8.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
2. Enter the password admin in the password box - if you have changed the router's default administrator login, substitute it instead.
3. Click on the Administration link.
4. Click on the Reset to Default button. This should bring up a success window.
5. Click OK.
6. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.

Belkin F5D5230-4 4-Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.2.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
2. Log into the router with the user name Admin and a blank password - if you have changed the router's default administrator login, substitute it instead.
3. Click on the Utilities link on the left.
4. Click on the Restore Factory Defaults link.
5. Click the Restore button. This should bring up a confirmation window.
6. Click OK. This should bring up a status window.
7. Click OK. This should bring up a success page.
8. If you have set the router to a static IP , then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.

SOHOware NBG800 BroadGuard™ Secure Cable/DSL Router:
1. Hold the Reset button on the back of the router for more than five (5) seconds.
2. Open a browser window and type 192.168.1.1 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
3. Log into the router with the user name admin and the password 1234.
4. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point.

Asante FR3004C FriendlyNET™ 10/100 Cable/DSL Router:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.123.254 in the address field (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window)
2. Log into the router with the password admin - if you have changed the router's default administrator password, substitute it instead.
3. Click on the Advanced button.
4. Click on the Factory Defaults button. This should bring up a confirmation window.
5. Click OK. This should bring up a notice window.
6. Click on the Restart Router button. This should bring up a confirmation window.
7. Click OK.
8. If you have set the router to a static IP, then you would redo those settings at this point, or if your ISP requires a login, or you are using PPPoE**, then this is also the time to input those details.


U.S. Robotics® Broadband Router Cable and DSL Internet Access:
1. Open a browser window and type 192.168.123.254 (or if you've changed the default IP of your router, type that IP into the window).
2. Type admin as the password in the login window (or if you have changed the password, in which case you would type that password in)
3. Click on the Tools link in the left hand menu
4. Click on the Restore Factory Defaults link in the center pane.
5. Click the Restore button that comes up.

**PPPoE** connections require a login and password, as well as a phone number to dial into the connection.  Please make sure you make note of this information so that when the time comes to input it, you have it available to you without contacting your ISP.
